1. There’s no perfect time to write and birth your best work.
It’s a myth and a trap that’ll kill everything you have to say before you ever put pen to paper.
You’re either gonna write or talk about why you’re not writing, so ditch the excuses and just write.
No masterpiece blooms in a vacuum or on a blank page until you show up and get it done.
What’re you waiting for?
2. Loving writing doesn’t mean you must make it your livelihood or die trying.
You can write love letters and poetry because you want to, and you don’t have to be a copywriter, screenwriter, or any other kind of professional writer just because you think you should.
Weaving gorgeous words together into a stunning tapestry is a gift, not a ball and chain.
So instead of forcing a creative outlet into a job, let the words flow and see what comes out.
Don’t sacrifice the flow of joyful creativity for status symbols.
3. Nobody has it all figured out.
Every single person you admire is fighting a battle you don’t know about and may not even be able to comprehend or endure.
Instead of wanting their life, why not look around you and enjoy the blessings in your life?
Challenge yourself to grow, yes, but not at the cost of your joy and wellbeing. Nothing is worth the hassle and heartbreak.
4. Your health is your responsibility.
Listen, there’re tips, lists, and hacks for days on how to hustle hard and live your best life now making six figures online, but honestly? Blindly following them might do way more harm than good.
That lifestyle works for the author, but does it work for you? Does it make sense for who you are and what you’re here to do, or is it just a shiny distraction stopping you from digging for gold and discovering the vibrant art that has your name on it?
If you jump on a bandwagon that shreds your mental, emotional, or physical health, you’re throwing away the precious hours you have on this planet, and that’s not why you’re here.
5. Relationships are the real treasures in life, not stats or metrics.
No accolades can replace or make up for genuine relationships brimming with love, warmth, friendship, generosity, and peace.
Neglecting your family and friends all the time so you can be somebody will cost you in the end, and it’s a really high price no one should have to pay.
Slow down and enjoy your family today.
6. Love letters are gifts you give that give back to you.
Writing love letters deepened my creativity and my relationships because it changed me.
Telling people how I feel about them allows me to see them, to really see them, and to grow into a kinder, more tolerant, and even more observant person through that.
So many people are hurting, lonely, or just needing a friend, and we’ll miss them if we keep hurtling through life with both eyes on our smartphones and social media.
Maybe you won’t write letters on paper like me, but you can love on your people without that. You can witness them anyway. You can show up for them anyway.
We’re wired for connection, and in some way, we all shrivel and stagnate without the robust, healthy relationships that grow and challenge us. We numb ourselves out with glossy social media and captivating entertainment, but it’s not really fulfilling us, is it?
So instead of suffering silently and waiting for “someone” to do something about it, why not be that someone and reach out today? Why not put down your phone or tablet and actually make eye contact with another human being longer than five minutes before you reach for a screen?
Yes, it’s uncomfortable at first, but it’s much better than letting your phone kill your relationships.
So tell me, how will you love on people today?

Dear Otiti,
Wow, these tips are great. I’d love to save them and remind myself of them every day. One day you said something to me that was very attractive to me. I liked your way of thinking and looking at the world and I always remind myself of that. You told me that we are in this world to share the good and the beautiful, and I must say that you are really doing it beautifully.
