You know the kind of day I mean.
Your sleep’s shot, your mind’s fuzzy, and you can’t even think of work without flinching because it’s just. so. hard.
That’s the kind of day I’m having.
Nothing’s flowing right, I can’t leave my smartphone alone, and I’m teary-eyed with frustration at all the time I’m losing on dead-end actions and ideas.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. How I feel is information; it doesn’t have to be a prison.
Yeah, it sucks that I can’t give 1,000% and be all happy and smiley, but that’s life.
There are ups, downs, and everything in between, and the challenge is navigating them all with a clear head without losing your marbles when you feel stuck in the bog of frustration and despair.
So what do you do?
You figure out what you can change, accept what you can’t, and keep it moving. You remind yourself of all the progress you’ve made and look forward to being back at your best ASAP.
You recognise that a bad day is just information and it’s not a prison sentence unless you make it one.
There’s more for you ahead, and it doesn’t matter if you stumble on your way as long as you keep moving.
I’m gonna blast out of this fug ’cause I’m refuse to let it dim my shine when there’s something I can do about it.
I’ve fought too hard and come too far to give up now, and I’m guessing you have too.
Explore what’s getting you down, why it sucks, and how you can get over it, because unless it’s a huge disruption like death or cancer, you can vault over it quicker than you think.
Suit up. Stand strong. You got this.
Now go make it happen.
