Your confession changes according to what you believe.
If you believe truth, you’ll speak life.
If you believe lies, you’ll speak death.
Just because something looks and feels real doesn’t mean it is real.
Facts look and feel real. Truth is real even when the facts don’t agree.
Believing the truth of God’s Word even when you don’t feel it is confessing the life in that truth even when it makes no sense.
Facts keep you in bondage. Truth keeps you in liberty.
The difference between speaking life and speaking death is the difference between what’s in your heart and what isn’t.
Are you planting life in your heart, or are you planting death in your heart?
Think about that for a minute.
What are you confessing? What’s your default setting? What do you say without even thinking about it?
Your heart teaches your mouth what to say because it teaches your mind what to think. (Proverbs 16:23; Luke 6:45)
Based on your current confessions, is your heart healthy or sick?
A healthy heart is full of the truth of God’s Word. A sick heart is full of the facts of your five senses, your experiences, and the enemy’s lies.
Believe the Word. Speak life. Live truth.
Because your confession is too precious to waste on death.

Thank you, Otiti, for raising my awareness of important matters relating to life. I’m going to be paying more attention to what I confess as it reveals my heart health.
This post has also inspired me to learn more about the heart and mind.

Hi, Cari! You’re welcome! I’m glad you found it helpful. 🤗
Yes, I definitely need to watch my heart as well. It’s so easy to get lost in how I feel and drift from what I know! I guess that’s why we need to guard our hearts, right?
Thank you for commenting! Hope to see you again sometime. 😊
