One thing I’m learning from writing love letters (114 and counting!) is that people will do what they want to do and you can’t place your joy and happiness in their hands.
Place your joy and happiness in Jesus, yes, but not in other human beings, because they’ll fail you, and it’ll break your heart, and it’ll crush your dreams.
Avoid all that by being yourself, trusting in God, and loving people.
You can’t change people, but you can change yourself.
If there’s something you’re longing to experience, how can you be a conduit for it?
Maybe you want to make more art.
Maybe you want to love harder and go deeper in your relationships (me too, holler at your girl).
Maybe you want to be/do/live greater, better, smarter.
Whatever it is, show up, put your back into it, and let go of any agendas.
Don’t try to force it.
Don’t try to control it.
Live with a clear mind, an open heart, and a loving soul.
Focus on being the best version of yourself and loving people where they are.
It doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
It doesn’t have to be massive to make an impact.
It doesn’t have to be viral to matter for real.
It just has to be real, heartfelt, and loving.
You can’t force people to engage.
All you can do is show up and be present.
Love deep.
Give from your heart.
Shine bright.
Your world is waiting.
