It’s my first day as a photographer. I’m in Cologne with my camera to have fun and make memories.
I have to be patient. I’m used to selfies and instant perfection, but I have to slow down and wait for the best shot of the Cologne Cathedral ’cause there’re people everywhere.
It’s going to take some time before my photos are as good as I want them to be, and to get there, I have to stick with it.
I gotta take reams of photos and discover the different modes of my camera before I can pull off my best shots often enough to satisfy me. It’s a process, y’all.
How about you?
Where do you need to stick with it? Where do you need to invest your time and effort to be good, better, great? What do you need to sacrifice to shine?
It doesn’t have to be a big production. Nobody has to know about it.
You just need to show up, hour after hour, day after day. Focused, intentional, patient. Willing to chisel rough ideas into finished works of art.
Make stuff you’re proud of. Make a lot of stuff you’re proud of. Do something great with your time, energy, and focus.
It’s not gonna happen overnight. It won’t be effortless—it might be the hardest thing you’ve ever done—but it will be worth it.
Slow down. Dare the edge. Find your groove and rock it out.
Your gorgeous art is waiting.
