You need grace culture to live out the life and purpose that God has for you.
There’s a divine design over my life. “There is prophecy over me”, as the song goes. And there’s a book about me in Heaven that the Lord is starting to reveal one vision and dream at a time.
Can I be honest? It’s easier to say no. To focus on the excuses instead of the execution. To focus on the past and hide behind fear in the guise of “caution”, because what do you have to lose when you don’t try anything new, right?
Here’s the thing though: One day, you’ll give account of your life. Everything you said, everything you did, and even everything you thought will be scrutinised in great detail. All that you left unsaid and undone will be brought before you. On that day of reckoning, every single excuse will fall short, because there is no excuse for not showing up and multiplying the treasure given to you (Matthew 25:14-30).
But it’s hitting me that I have to show up. I have to say yes to the call. I have to, otherwise I won’t have an answer when asked, “What did you do with your life?”.
What Is Grace Culture?
There’s a difference between hustle culture and grace culture.
Hustle culture is all about striving, forcing, pounding yourself into the ground to make it work or die trying. It’s depending on your own strength, your own skills, and your own connections. Hustle culture is what consumes you when you’re focused on the world’s metrics of success and you do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Grace culture is all about showing up with divine life flowing through you to do what God is asking of you. It’s the ability to do hard things with ease because you partner with Holy Spirit, and He empowers you to do the work, the project, or the whatever else in front of you. It won’t necessarily be easy, but there’ll be ease because there’ll be life.
If you subscribe to hustle culture, you’ll wake up one day burnt out, bitter, and exhausted. You may get everything you want, or not, but you’ll pay a really high price for it. And what’s the point of fame, money, and success if you don’t have a beautiful life with God and the people you love? You may have everything you want, but you won’t have everything you need.
If you subscribe to grace culture, you’ll live in abundance. You’ll live in overflow. You won’t have to exhaust yourself or climb over other people on your way up because you’ll have all the energy you need from the Holy Spirit in you. True peak performance is when you have eternal life flowing through your veins.
Did you catch that?
True peak performance is when you have eternal life flowing through your veins.
I don’t know what dream you’re incubating right now. I don’t know what vision is keeping you up at night and calling you forward. But I do know that if God placed it in you and it’ll help somebody, free somebody, or encourage somebody, then it’s your responsibility to put it out there. Someone really needs it, and they’re looking for you.
Maybe it’s been done before. Maybe it’s never been done before. I don’t know, and it really doesn’t matter. What’s for you is for you, and it’s up to you to claim it.
Because honestly? If you wait too long, that dream or vision will go to someone else. Someone who’s willing to take the risk and put all their trust in God will live out your dream, and it’ll break your heart. It happened to me and it was brutal. Don’t let it happen to you too.
There Is Grace for Today

I want to encourage you today.
The Lord loves you (Jeremiah 31:3).
He thinks good thoughts about you (Jeremiah 29:11).
You are precious in His sight (Isaiah 43:4).
And if He’s asking you to go somewhere or do something, He’s going with you. You’re not going by yourself (Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:9).
It’s never too late to try something new, so try. Start small. Write a sentence. Sing a verse. Make a reel. Make the call. But do it today, because dreams are birthed in momentum, and momentum begins today, not tomorrow.
And if you feel like you missed an opportunity, or a door did close, that’s okay. Come back to the Lord. Let Him heal your heart. Ask Him to forgive you for your mistake, and then ask Him to help you forgive yourself. Come out of the grave of the past and focus on Him today. Love on Him today. Give Him your yes today.
In the end, we don’t need to have or live anyone else’s life for us to be joyful and fulfilled. We need to live the life God planned for us before time began, and that life is always in His Presence and in His will (Psalm 139:16; Ephesians 2:10).
I pray that you’re brave enough to try again. I pray that you find peace in the chaos because you’re giving it all to Jesus and receiving His peace. And I pray that your heart and mind come alive with new visions and dreams straight from Heaven.
There is room for you too, and we need your voice.
May you be bold enough to release it.
